Citroën Citroën ë-C3X
3 Variants · Starting from ₹11.99 Lakh
The Citroën ë-C3X is the sole electric model in Citroën India's lineup, originally launched as the ë-C3 in 2023 and refreshed with revised styling and the ë-C3X name on June 18 2026. Priced from around Rs 11.99 lakh -- or as low as Rs 6.89 lakh under a Battery-as-a-Service arrangement -- it is one of the most affordable electric cars sold in India, using a single 29.2 kWh battery pack with no higher-capacity option available. Claimed range is 325 km, certified under the newer MIDC test cycle (confirmed on Citroën's own official ë-C3X specification page), not ARAI -- resolving an earlier ARAI-vs-MIDC labelling ambiguity. Although Citroën's own marketing describes the ë-C3X as a "compact SUV," it is mechanically a sub-4-metre hatchback built on the C3 platform, with most independent reviewers classifying it as a hatchback with crossover-styled body cladding rather than a true SUV. As Citroën's only EV in India, the ë-C3X carries the brand's entire electric strategy in the country, positioned as a budget-friendly alternative to other affordable EVs from Tata and MG for buyers prioritising low upfront cost over range, size or performance.
