Maruti Suzuki Maruti Suzuki e Vitara
4 Variants · Starting from ₹16.19 Lakh
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, launched February 19 2026, is Maruti Suzuki's first-ever electric car and, as of this writing, the only EV the brand sells in India -- making it simultaneously the entry point and the flagship of Maruti's electric lineup by default. It is offered with two LFP battery packs -- a 49 kWh pack in the Delta trim and a larger 61 kWh pack in the Zeta, Alpha and Alpha Dual Tone trims -- delivering claimed range of roughly 440 km and 543 km respectively, and is front-wheel-drive only at launch. The e Vitara includes a Battery-as-a-Service option, letting buyers lower the upfront purchase price by separating out the cost of the battery, a strategy several brands have used in India to ease first-time EV buyers past the higher initial cost typically associated with electric cars. Backed by Maruti Suzuki's position as India's largest carmaker by volume and its vast dealer and service network built over decades of petrol and CNG models, the e Vitara has been aggressively priced to compete directly against the Hyundai Creta Electric and other compact electric SUVs, leaning on brand trust and affordability rather than performance or premium positioning to win over Maruti's enormous existing customer base.
