The Bajaj Chetak Series 30 is the standard, mid-range tier of Bajaj's electric Chetak scooter family, positioned between the entry-level Series 25 and the range-topping Series 35. Sold under the internal model code C3001, it forms the middle ground of a lineup built around the revival of Bajaj's iconic 1970s Chetak nameplate, which was reintroduced as an electric scooter in January 2020. Like its siblings, the Series 30 carries forward the design language and construction philosophy that has defined the modern Chetak: a robust metal body rather than plastic panelling, paired with an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance that suits everyday Indian riding conditions, from monsoon commutes to dusty urban roads. This mid-tier positioning makes the Series 30 a natural choice for buyers who want more battery capacity and features than the base Series 25 offers, without stretching to the premium price of the Series 35's top-of-the-line configuration. Bajaj Auto, established in 1945, has used the Chetak nameplate's decades of brand recognition to build strong buyer trust in the electric scooter category, and the results show: Chetak electric scooters have surpassed 600,000 units on Indian roads, supported by a service network of over 4,100 touchpoints nationwide. For a prospective buyer, that scale translates into easier access to servicing and spares regardless of city or town. The Series 30 suits riders who want a balanced electric scooter -- solid build quality, a well-supported ownership experience, and a battery/feature package pitched squarely for daily urban and semi-urban commuting needs, without paying for the flagship trim's extra capacity.
