The TVS Orbiter is TVS Motor Company's newer, value-oriented electric scooter line, launched around March 2026 to sit below the established iQube in the brand's electric two-wheeler lineup. Where the iQube targets the mainstream to mid-premium segment with a range of battery sizes, the Orbiter is aimed at cost-conscious buyers who want a more affordable entry point into electric scootering, backed by TVS's manufacturing scale as one of India's largest two- and three-wheeler makers with exports to more than 60 countries. A notable feature of the Orbiter is its battery-as-a-service option, which allows buyers to separate the cost of the battery from the upfront price of the scooter, typically lowering the initial purchase price and monthly outlay in exchange for a subscription or swap-based battery arrangement rather than outright ownership of the pack. This kind of ownership model tends to appeal to first-time EV buyers and budget-conscious commuters who are wary of the higher upfront cost of a fully-owned battery, and it gives TVS a distinct value proposition compared to its own iQube and to rival scooters that only offer traditional outright-purchase pricing. As the entry point into TVS's electric scooter range, sitting below both the iQube and the flagship TVS X, the Orbiter is positioned to widen the brand's reach among riders for whom price and running-cost flexibility matter more than the higher-spec features found further up the TVS electric lineup.
